About Josh
I am Cleveland born and raised and love the city. I went to St. Ignatius High School and John Carroll University (for undergraduate and graduate school) and played basketball for both schools. My love for service started when I joined the Big Brother Mentor Program at St. Ignatius High School in Cleveland. Since then I have tried to be involved in the community as much as possible. I coached youth basketball for 5 years after college. In 2012 I helped coordinate the silent auction for the Rainey Institute’s, annual Glissandro event. The Rainey Institute is an art institute for kids located in the inner city of Cleveland.  I have also worked on the board of the Cleveland Beta Gamma Sigma Chapter since 2010. My first job out of school was as a trader with money management firm Shaker Investments. Since 2010 I have been with American Greetings. I started with the company as an Analyst in their Sales Strategy group. Since then I have worked as a National Account Manager on accounts such as Toys R Us (I love getting to hang out in Toy Stores all the time!), Babies R Us, Walgreens, and Bed Bath and Beyond. As a student I held local sports internships with IMG, the Cleveland Browns, and the Cleveland Indians.

Why did you join Young Leaders?
This is my first year being a part of young leaders. When I joined I didn’t really know what I was getting into but I am so glad I took the chance. I have met so many great people and gotten to be a part of a number of great events. I have learned a lot in less than a year and hope to make a bigger impact in future years.

What is your favorite Young Leaders event and why?
I am going to wait for a full year before I can give a concrete answer to this question, but I am really looking forward to the Fall Ball in October.

What do members hope to get out of their involvement with Young Leaders?
Young Leaders is a great way to meet people in the Cleveland community while also giving back.  It is amazing being a part of an organized charitable group that has the ability to make such a powerful long lasting impact.
