About Katalin
I am originally from Cleveland and have loved watching the city’s transformation over the last few years! As a west-sider who also attended CWRU for my undergraduate and graduate degrees, I have been lucky to experience both sides of this exciting city. I am currently a Wealth Advisory Analyst in the Private Banking of KeyBank. It has been inspiring to work for an organization like KeyBank that invests a great deal in both the Cleveland community and United Way.

Why did you join Young Leaders?
I have always felt a desire to do more for my community, however at times found it challenging to connect with a group whose mission was to provide meaningful volunteer opportunities for young professionals. As a young professional, I understand the challenge of balancing one’s philanthropic efforts with professional and personal obligations. I feel that the United Way Young Professionals group understands those challenges and provides our city’s young professionals with many options to affect positive change.

What is your favorite Young Leaders event and why?
I have really enjoyed each and every Young Leaders volunteer and networking opportunity, my favorite being the happy hours. It’s a great way to connect with others in the UWYL community and meet other philanthropic-minded young professionals in Cleveland. If you’re new to the area or to UWYL I highly encourage that you make it out to an upcoming happy hour!

In your opinion, what makes Cleveland a good city for young professionals?
It’s been fascinating to watch Cleveland grow and change since I was a kid; to see it transition into a vibrant community with an active and engaged young professional community has been invigorating. People are quickly realizing that Cleveland has a great deal to offer. Over the last few years we’ve seen a genuine excitement not only by locals but also by investors in local neighborhoods, businesses, philanthropic organizations and community events that is promoting a feeling of Cleveland pride. It’s an extremely exciting time to live in and be engaged in the Cleveland community!
