The objectives of the United Way Sponsored Group Health Insurance Plan are to:
- provide access to a reasonable selection of health care plans through quality providers
- seek competitive rates for the plans with a reasonable expectation of stability in future costs
- emphasize a shared responsibility for health care consumerism and cost management
- develop a long-range strategy to educate employees about their health and the utilization of health care benefits
