Speakers Bureau Workshop

Our community partner speakers encourage, inspire, educate and motivate by sharing their firsthand experiences about those who are helped by United Way of Greater Cleveland. To reserve a speaker for your event, please contact Jessica D. Snyder at 216-436-2123 or jdsnyder@unitedwaycleveland.org.

In order to bring our veteran speakers up to date and also train new speakers, United Way will host a Speakers Bureau Workshop on Wednesday, July 14, 2010.  As with last year’s training, the training sessions will be combined into one large workshop from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.  New and Veteran speakers will be assigned to small groups and encouraged to present to each other and receive constructive feedback from their fellow speakers. In addition, we would like to encourage agencies to invite their clients to attend the training as we have noticed an increase in popularity to hear from individuals who have directly benefited from your services and programming.

Bob Dowd will present and facilitate role-playing at the workshop. This is a fantastic opportunity to receive valuable feedback from a professional trainer, in addition to educating and preparing your speakers and clients on how they can best represent United Way and their respective agencies.  Details are as follows:
