RideUNITED 2011

RideUNITED, United Way's inaugural bike tour, was a great success! Nearly 300 cyclists participated and helped United Way raise close to $45,000 to address the health and human service needs in our community. The cyclists rode the Towpath Trail and Scenic Byways covering the 12, 25, 43, 86 or 100-mile planned courses from Cleveland State University to University of Akron and back.

We would like to send a big THANK YOU to all of our participants, sponsors and volunteers who joined us in making our first tour a hit! We especially thank Kaiser Permanente for stepping up as our Founding Sponsor. RideUNITED created a regional partnership, bringing together Cleveland State University, the University of Akron, the City of Cleveland, the City of Akron, the Cuyahoga County MetroParks, the MetroParks serving Summit County, the National Park Service, the Ohio Canal Corridor, the Ohio and Erie Canalway Coalition and the two beneficiaries -- United Way of Greater Cleveland and United Way of Summit County.

We look forward to seeing you all again next year for RideUNITED in 2012!
