ABOUT HIM...
Work:
I have been with KeyBank since 2006 and am currently a Portfolio Manager in Key Private Bank. Before joining Key, I worked at the Better Business Bureau while attending the Weatherhead School of Management.

Interests:

I have been a Cabinet Member of Young Leaders for four years, where I’ve enjoyed the regularly scheduled Days of Caring at United Way agencies like the Applewood Centers for Children, the YMCA, and the Boys and Girls Club of Cleveland. Outside of work, I enjoy basketball and racquetball, and am an avid classical piano player.

What do members hope to get out of their involvement with Young Leaders?
Young Leaders enables young professionals to make a lasting impact on Greater Cleveland by helping those who are in need.

Why did you join Young Leaders?
Growing up in San Francisco, I had the opportunity to participate in many volunteer activities, such as making sandwiches for the homeless, playing piano for hospitalized veterans, and volunteering as a juror on Youth Court. After accepting a position at KeyBank in Cleveland, I knew that I wanted to give back to the community in which I work and live, and Young Leaders provided the perfect conduit to do just that. Ralph Waldo Emerson once wrote, “To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you lived -- that is to have succeeded.”

What is your favorite Young Leaders event and why?
Over the years, my favorite Young Leaders event was the monthly mentoring opportunity with the Boys and Girls Club of Cleveland. Volunteers helped the children with their homework, played educational games like Jenga, and shoot hoops. Many of the children were from single-parent households, and were truly grateful to have an additional mentor in their lives. I would encourage all young professionals in Cleveland to become involved in an activity to mentor underserved youth.
