What do Greater Cleveland Food Bank CEO Kristin Warzocha and Cleveland Public Library Director Felton Thomas have in common?
To be sure, a passionate commitment to ensuring all kids in our community are poised for success in school in life, and — a fun fact you may not know — they’ll both rock the runway with nearly two dozen other community models on May 14 at Rock the CATWALK 2015.
This must attend event is one of Cleveland’s best events of the year benefiting United Way of Greater Cleveland’s Women’s Leadership Council and its support of early childhood education. Last year’s sold-out Rock the CATWALK 2014 drew a record crowd of 700 and raised more than $92,000, providing funds to invest in school choice and family engagement efforts as part of the 2000 Days Pledge, an educational promise between teachers and parents that emphasizes the importance of a shared partnership and approach for putting children on the right path to high school graduation and beyond.
As co-chairs of this year’s event, my good friend Robin Davenport of Parker Hannifin and I have every confidence that Rock the CATWALK 2015 will be our most successful yet. If you have already confirmed your attendance or sponsorship, many thanks for your support. If not, please consider joining us for what promises to be a great night of food, fun, friends and fashion.
