Engagement Center

Where giving, advocacy and volunteering come together.

The United Way of Greater Cleveland Engagement Center is the arm of the organization that handles key stakeholder engagement. The Center houses our Day of Action volunteer program, Young Leaders and Women’s Leadership Council affinity groups and our grass-roots Community Conversation engagement efforts. The goal is to provide you with meaningful United Way engagement opportunities that advance our mission, inform you about the impact of your dollars, and allow individuals to make a positive impact on the Greater Cleveland community.

We Need Community Heroes!

Strategic engagement is critical to our ability to advance our mission and we have a website specifically designed to enhance our volunteer engagement efforts in support of our Day of Action program.

Get Connected is the online go-to place for individuals who want to give of their time and talents to the Greater Cleveland community.

As a volunteer with our Day of Action program, individuals have the opportunity to help others as United Way works to create a safety-net of services for the Greater Cleveland community. That is why WE NEED HEROES!

We raise funds to address our community’s most critical issues. Your contribution to United Way’s Community Impact Fund has the greatest impact on Greater Cleveland as it helps to inspire and sustain long-term solutions.

We advocate for solutions to address community needs that generate lasting change. When you stand with us and together we advocate for an issue we are passionate about, we are able to increase awareness, strengthen public policy and secure critically needed government support.

We match our corporate partners’ corporate social responsibility objectives with United Way’s community impact agenda. This allows us to deploy volunteer power and voices to get community work done.

We also encourage you to connect with others to LIVE UNITED. Our Young Leaders group offers engaging and meaningful philanthropic opportunities for young professionals. The Women’s Leadership Council is a dynamic group of philanthropic Greater Cleveland women making a difference in our community.

An integral element of United Way’s work is an emphasized effort to gather feedback, data, and direction from the communities we serve. Whether defined by demographics or geography, our communities – from a county scale to the smallest family unit – inform our priorities and guide our deliberate and measured stewardship of funds. One of the most visible and accessible ways we gather feedback is through our Community Conversations.

When you participate in the United Way of Greater Cleveland Engagement Center, our community becomes healthier, our resources grow, our kids graduate and our families become financially stable. For more information, please contact Karlie Haines at khaines@unitedwaycleveland.org or at 216-436-2100.

Be sure to also join our online communities on Facebook and Twitter.
