United Way Volunteers

Volunteer Opportunities

At the United Way of Greater Cleveland, we strive to create positive change by addressing basic needs as well as issues related to education, financial stability and health. If you are interested in giving back to your community, our staff can find the perfect volunteer opportunity for you. Working with a variety of nonprofits located throughout the region, we are uniquely positioned to find opportunities that best fit the needs of the community.

How It Works

United Way of Greater Cleveland is the “go to” place for volunteerism and community involvement. Utilizing our relationship with local nonprofit organizations, United Way matches individuals, families and volunteer groups with projects that fit their skills and interests.

Why Volunteer?

Volunteering is not only beneficial for those you help, but it also has a positive effect on your self-esteem, physical and mental health. Those who engage in volunteer activities are less likely to suffer from poor health later in life and may be introduced into a positive reinforcing cycle of good health. What’s better than helping out your neighbors in need?
