FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Cleveland (June 1, 2018) – United Way of Greater Cleveland is holding its first community-wide event to celebrate its 2017-2018 campaign at Public Square featuring nationally renowned music artist Welshly Arms, a Cleveland-based blues-rock band.

The band will headline the event with its first major hit from its 2017 EP, Legendary. This top 15 Alternative radio hit sets the stage for the theme of the Heroes Unite event. United Way leaders believe that all Greater Clevelanders are heroes and by bringing them together, they become legendary.

They will also inspire the crowd with tracks from their new hit album, No Place Is Home.

Organizers anticipate several thousand people in attendance throughout the community at this celebration event. There will also be a wide-array of superhero-themed activities available for people and families of all ages, including a video game virtual reality simulator, a photo booth, games of skill and the chance to interact with real-life caped crusaders.

The event is free and open to the public and will be held on Wednesday, June 27, from 4-8 p.m. at Public Square. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.

For more information, to setup one-on-one interviews, access high-resolution photography and more, please contact Mark Miller at 216-436-2120 or mmiller@unitedwaycleveland.org.
