Donor Groups

For more than 100 years, United Way of Greater Cleveland has been striving to help our children thrive, empower individuals and families, and create a healthier and more resilient community. Our continued mission would not be possible without your help. You have the power to make great things happen. Use your time and talents in Greater Cleveland today.

Philanthropist Society

The United Way of Greater Cleveland Philanthropist Society is a powerful force in creating a better community. Affiliated with the national Tocqueville Society, the Philanthropist Society operates under its own charge, appealing to the abilities and influence of its generous membership. Members are confident when making their annual gifts of $10,000 or more because they know United Way is the one place they can feel assured their charitable investment will provide the best return.

Humanitarian Society

Humanitarian Society donor contributions (donations of $1,000 to $9,999) typically represent 25 percent of the campaign total each year. The generous support of Humanitarians combines with the contributions of all donors to facilitate United Way’s work. This work focuses on making positive changes to ensure that kids succeed in school, families and individuals achieve and maintain financial stability, and the health of our community continues to improve.

Women’s Leadership Council

The Women’s Leadership Council activates the power and energy of Greater Cleveland women to change the lives of our youngest citizens. Through philanthropy, volunteerism and advocacy, the WLC members are devoted to ensuring every child in Greater Cleveland has the opportunity to attend a quality preschool and choose a high performing primary school.

Young Leaders

Young Leaders are professionals in their twenties and thirties who want to work to make our community better through philanthropy, volunteerism and advocacy with United Way of Greater Cleveland.
