About Mark
Currently I am a Membership Activation Specialist for the Cleveland Cavaliers. My past volunteerism includes leading philanthropy efforts in college for different causes. Most notable was creating and running a golf outing to benefit Women in Philanthropy and Women’s Sports, raising $1,000. My interests include golfing, outdoor activities, trying new restaurants and attractions in the Cleveland area, intramural sports, working out and just hanging out with friends.

Why did you join Young Leaders?
I joined the Young Leaders Cabinet because I enjoy being involved in something that is greater than I am. Knowing what kind of organization United Way of Greater Cleveland is and how much they offer for so many people, I was interested in becoming involved in making change for Cleveland. Not a born resident of Cleveland and being a “transplant” to the city for my career, it is my goal to get involved and help make a difference for the community and leave my mark on Cleveland for many years to come.  I am also excited to connect with like-minded individuals who have a common goal in mind to better themselves and their community through philanthropy.

What is your favorite Young Leaders event and why?
My favorite Young Leaders events are the networking events. They provide individuals in Cleveland the opportunity to connect on both personal and professional levels. They are great opportunities to meet new colleagues and friends!

What do members hope to get out of their involvement with Young Leaders?
What I am hoping to get out of my involvement with the Young Leaders of United Way is the chance to learn more about Cleveland, the people and involvement that defines Cleveland. I am hoping to learn and find out different ways that myself and peers as young professionals in Cleveland can make a long term impact on the city of Cleveland and its residents.
