Cleveland is a Community in Crisis
Cleveland is one of the poorest large cities in the country. With more than half of our community’s children living in poverty, Cleveland has the highest childhood poverty rate in the country. Cleveland also has the third highest poverty rate in the nation for working age adults and the third highest poverty rate for seniors living in poverty.

We Refuse to Let Poverty Define Our City
United Way of Greater Cleveland’s work to address here-and-now needs as well as the root causes of poverty is not possible without the support of generous supporters like you. By donating today, you are taking a stand against poverty in our community and helping our neighbors that need it most.
