Making a Planned Gift

Investing in the future of our community through United Way of Greater Cleveland’s Planned Giving Program helps to ensure that future generations of Clevelanders will receive the support that they need and creates a legacy of generosity.

This week we are celebrating National Estate Planning Awareness Week (Oct. 17-23) and the opportunity to create a lasting philanthropic impact on our community through a will or estate gift.

Making or updating a will or estate plan is a gift to your loved ones and a wonderful way to have a greater impact on the causes you care about.

Through United Way’s partnership with FreeWill, making a will is accessible, straightforward, and free of charge! This secure planning tool can support you in making a plan that:

  • Protects your loved ones
  • Empowers you to control important decisions
  • Builds a legacy of meaning and impact

You can learn more and get started here: www.freewill.com/unitedway

If you are among the small minority of Americans who already have an up-to-date will, good work!

Please consider the variety of ways to make a planned gift through your will such as a bequest, annuity, or life insurance policy.

Would you like to learn more about the impact of a planned gift? Look for registration details soon for “Planned Giving 101,” a virtual panel discussion which will be held on November 18.

To learn more about this discussion or planned giving, please contact Andrew Genszler, Director of Legacy and Planned Giving, about a gift for the future – 216-436-2148 or agenszler@unitedwaycleveland.org

Thank you for your support!
