Strategic Priorities

We target four areas to improve our community:

Income Pathways

Connecting people to job and career pathways.

Early Childhood Development

Giving families support so kids can thrive in their educational journeys from the start.

Our strategic priorities in action

Grantmaking

We fund innovative programs that target our strategic priorities in Cuyahoga and Geauga Counties. Through a rigorous process of applications, interviews, and input from community stakeholders, we identify impactful programs. Funding operates on a 2-year cycle.

Initiatives

We support innovative initiatives that have the potential to benefit Greater Cleveland through intervention in our strategic areas. We use our unique resources to help launch promising new ideas from the community by convening stakeholders, providing fiscal sponsorship, fundraising, assisting with marketing, conducting evaluations, and more.

United Way 211

United Way 211 is a vital connection to community resources around housing and utilities, food, health services, and more. Our 211 Navigators are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year in Cuyahoga, Geauga, and Ross counties. 211 also operates the City of Cleveland’s 311 line after hours, the Help2Veterans line, and the Ohio State Problem Gambling Hotline.
