This past year was a time of incredible progress and learning at our United Way. We sharpened our focus on economic opportunity and success, investing nearly $25 million to launch promising solutions and scale what works to better serve hundreds of thousands of Greater Clevelanders.
From charity to change
We are not only providing immediate relief but also removing barriers to economic opportunity and upward mobility.

To address the urgent needs of our community, United Way 211 offers callers round-the-clock assistance navigating the social safety net and connecting anyone to community resources.

Our grantmaking program identifies and funds exceptional direct service agencies that address immediate needs of Greater Clevelanders and also have the potential to improve their future economic mobility,

people served through 16 grantmaking partner agencies

To effect systems-level change, we seek collective solutions and innovative initiatives, acting as conveners, fiscal sponsors, administrators, and more in multi-stakeholder projects.

We are doing what it takes to launch new services and collective solutions, and staying involved to ensure their effectiveness until the job is done.

Community Investment

We continue to work to create a region where we all succeed by ensuring access to basic needs as well as removing barriers to family stability and economic mobility.

United Way 211

Our confidential helpline connected more than 193,000 community members to local experts for help with food, housing, utilities, and more.

Public Policy

Our advocacy at the state and federal levels focuses on securing funding for United Way 211 and educating legislators on how our Community Resource Database can help their constituents.

Geauga County

United Way Services of Geauga County continues to make a difference in the lives of our neighbors through Bridges@Work, the Aging & Disability Resource Center, grantee partners, and our annual Day of Action.

Resource Development

In addition to maintaining strong workplace campaigns, growing foundation relations, and building our community campaign, this year we celebrated the landmark achievement of matching the $10M matching grant from the Jack, Joseph, and Morton Mandel Supporting Foundation.
