Youth Opportunities Unlimited

Economic Mobility - Workforce Development

Mission

The mission of Youth Opportunities Unlimited (Y.O.U.) is to prepare teens and young adults to become economically self-sufficient contributors to building Northeast Ohio’s educated, skilled, and inclusive workforce.

Program Description: Paid Internship Program

Northeast Ohio has great potential, but it needs future generations of Clevelanders who want to stay here and thrive here. Y.O.U.’s paid internship program will provide high school students with professional skills and hands-on career exploration experience while earning a stipend in a career field that interests them.

Interns will will learn to navigate their career journeys through mentoring, professional networking, employability skills training, industry-based credential training, and career exploration.

Young people will finish the paid internship program with a professional network, certifications, and real-time training, all of which help ensure they will be more likely to earn higher wages and have a productive future.

President and CEO of Youth Opportunities Unlimited Craig Dorn speaks about Y.O.U.’s Paid Internship Program and how they integrate racial equity and diversity into their work.
